Here is an excellent book written primarily to document the first 100 years of the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada, Reno. The building pictured on the cover was designed by Stanford White, the statue of John W. Mackay was sculptured by Gutzon Borglum (of Mt. Rushmore fame), and the project was funded as a tribute to his father by Clarence Mackay in 1908. The book is published by Jack Bacon & Company, Reno, Nevada.
